but it does take a lot of time hehe I just like to look at photos of desserts and like to think about how can I make this easy to make hehe. Is there any sweets you would like me to post about?
ok my bad, i thought those sweets were french but apparently they are serbian? i haven't eaten them since i was a child but i remember them as a divine sweet. i thougt you could get some ideas cause they look so adorable! you can get most hits if you type "minjoni" in google. here is one amazing photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/maxivida/315971971/ :)
"the thing on top is multi-coloured sugar icing (zuckerguss). depending on the colour of the icing, you know which flavour is the cake inside. they are all based on very soft butter biscuit. for instance, in the violet ones the biscuit is soaked in blueberry juice and filled with sourish blueberry jam. the yellow ones taste like caramel. the pink ones (not pictured) are rum-flavoured, with wallnut filling. brown - chocolate, orange - apricot and so on.
minjoni are typical patisserie cakes. petit fours can be of any shape (minjoni are always little cubes) and the colour doesn't necessarily correspond to the flavour. these are always covered with a layer of fondant icing, while petit fours can be covered with anything from white and dark chocolate to marzipan."
